 The silence and the violence

The Silence and the Violence

By

James Bredin

The ghetto violence will not stop and there is little debate,

The funeral TV cameras will soon return on a future date,

Ghetto fatherless sons shot by other ghetto fatherless sons,

Where silence reigns as to who were the gun-toting guilty bums.

The number of unwed mothers on welfare is never made known,

Or the politically correct would jump up and groan,

They come to Toronto from everywhere, all over the globe,

Their fatherless sons who will eventually wear their hooded wardrobe.

The idea of getting a husband should not seem so bizarre,

Unless the government supports them like some movie star,

As it pays maintenance, rent, schools, Internet and cell phone fees,

Everything a working husband might do for a life of ease.

Therefore a husband is superfluous and could be a drag,

Unemployed criminal asshole without a pot, inclined to brag,

But the politically correct social workers will ensure,

She will be a lady of leisure and no one will call her poor.

And the more babies she makes, the higher her welfare check,

Make seven or eight for a bigger apartment with a sun deck,

And no one talks to outsiders about what is really going on,

In the ghetto that is one sure way to be quickly dead and gone.

Life, death, abortions and euthanasia

By

James Bredin

We can’t have euthanasia but we have abortions by the score,

More dead babies than dead soldiers in the First World War,

But they’re only unborn babies so they just don’t count,

Killed in vast numbers and we never know the exact amount.

But the sick and the dying are never allowed to pull the plug,

Euthanasia banned by political parties who are smug,

While media press barons concentrate on celebrities,

Dead unborn babies are never buried in cemeteries.

Painless euthanasia can stop the pain for the incurably ill,

We’ll never know about the suffering of the babies they kill,

But the fearless feminists want things to stay the way they are,

No euthanasia they say because that would be going too far.

Party discipline, my friend, has nothing to do with what the people want,

Euthanasia is not part of any hidden agenda account,

But killing unborn babies was and is on every agenda,

No recall, no referendums and only left-wing propaganda.

Right to die in peace and dignity

Right to die in peace and dignity

Subjects such as this are kept completely quiet and out of view,

Media press baron propaganda conspiracy on cue,

As they tell us each day what to believe, what to think and do,

And no independent thoughts are allowed just in out of the blue.

We should have a place where the very old and the sick can go to die,

Peacefully and honorably and no one shouting or asking why,

Voluntary euthanasia it’s called but it’s against the law,

So we should realize by now that this law has a major flaw.

Unfortunately we lack the political balls to change this,

Maybe a lack of leadership too and we’re stuck in this abyss,

While the old folks homes are filled to the doors with those almost dead,

Indeed many of them wishing they could just end it all instead.

A right to life should include a right to end that life in death,

Instead of being compelled to live in pain, sickness and short breath,

Euthanasia is the way to go and that can’t be too hard,

No need for preachers or politicians to stand on guard.

The Canadian Senate and Others

By

James Bredin

We have senators, who are appointed to the Senate for life,

They have no job description, no constituents and don’t know strife,

Their function in life is to stay alive and vote as they are told,

And never have an independent thought in their heads or be bold.

We have Supreme Court appointees, who stay till they are eighty five,

Making strange left-wing decisions while they are still alive,

And they can’t be questioned about their oddball politics or friends,

In their long red garments while legalizing abortion trends.

We have an obedient electorate in first-past-the-post,

Where referendums and recall are forbidden coast to coast,

And when parliament isn’t sitting which is most of the year,

We have order in council which we are told not to fear.

And to hell with logic, equality or even common sense,

Make the crowd believe that this is democracy because we’re dense,

Mould our opinions to the special hidden media agenda,

No referendums or recall in their pompous propaganda.

Elections in Canada

By

Less than half the electorate even bothered to vote,

Apathy and indifference was rampant so they felt remote,

Eligible voters just couldn’t be bothered to give a damn,

Plus public often trained by court imposed publication ban.

Therefore such a low turnout has come to be accepted,

Where electing tax-and-spend politicians is now expected,

So referendums and compulsory voting should be invoked,

To bring back democracy and get politicians provoked.

Because less than half the electorate is a bad sign,

A megalomaniac politician might say he’s divine,

And get elected by his small activist minority,

A Stalin or a Hitler could then have full authority.

Oh, you probably think that this couldn’t happen here,

We’re sophisticated and our politicians say they’re sincere,

But it happened twice in Europe in the last century,

Where Germans Jews Russians went to the penitentiary,

Please look in the mirror because we seem to think we’re immune,

Our first-past-the-post electoral system is way out of tune,

If five candidates run, the winner only needs twenty percent,

A small amount can tip the balance and who do they represent?
