 Abortions by the dozen

Abortions by the dozen

By

James Bredin

Canadian abortions are now a symbol of women’s rights,

And all those female appointees to the Supreme Court delights,

It’s just a matter of an unwanted unborn baby’s life,

Feminists show their fanatical side with a doctor’s knife.

Call the baby a pregnancy tissue and that’s all it takes,

It’s all politically correct; therefore there are no mistakes,

Unborn-baby holocaust not unlike what the Nazis did,

Officially sanctioned and the outcome is just one dead kid.

People trained to accept this baby holocaust as women’s rights,

Vast feminist conspiracy propaganda at its heights,

A graphic illustration of how easily the public can be led,

Down the bloody path of baby abortion death and dread.

 Dental Chair

Dental Chair

By

James Bredin

Spent two hours in a dental chair and what an awful task!
He murmured to his assistant through a white gauze face mask,
And she somewhere behind my head making noise with a machine,
Amid the screaming drill in my mouth and all this unseen.

Can’t shut down your brain or delete these dental joys,
As the curved hose in my mouth makes that awful snorting noise,
Looking at the white ceiling where there is nothing to see,
And still he drills and pokes and bends and oh for a cup of tea.

And you hope the freezing holds and there must be a better way,
You could have rotten teeth, keep your mouth shut and be quiet all day,
And maybe, just maybe no one would know that you had rotten teeth,
No one would look down on you and pretend they were elite.

 War and Peace

War and peace

There is always a slight danger that peace might break out,

Politicians of course know what this is really all about,

Factories might have to close if there’s no need for guns and stuff,

Economy might take a dive, fewer jobs and times could get tough.

Is it depression or is it war; what’s it all about?

Preferably a far distant war in case there’s any doubt,

And the enemy should be one that is real easy to hate,

Consequently there is never a need to have much debate.

Therefore they will find a reason to have another war,

Another god forsaken faraway place that we should ignore,

True, there are places in the world that are absolutely mad,

Murder, starvation, famine which is common out there and sad.

But then it gets worse as the UN wants us all involved,

Otherwise send bags of money so their problems can be solved,

They say we have a commitment to support those rogue regimes,

Regardless of starvation, Swiss accounts and the screams.

As we the people tend to be led down a certain path,

No referendums, no recall while being taken for a bath,

We should have a vote if we are going to send soldiers to fight,

And maybe die in some faraway place that is not alright?

 Heaven or Hell

Heaven or hell

By

James Bredin

Many of the big strong men that I once knew, have disappeared,

Most of them cut down by heart attacks or cancer, it is feared,

No one seems to have an answer to this ongoing outcome,

When their many lives were closed down like the beat of a drum.

It seems that a lot of the great guys that I knew are now dead,

And I would have been there too, many times, except for some meds,

Because life is not eternal though this may come as a shock,

No matter what these preachers announce to their obedient flock.

The finality of death is most difficult for us all,

That one day in the future we will get that final call,

While every religion insists that there is an afterlife,

Just believe, be obedient and it will lessen the strife.

But no one ever came back from the dead -- heaven or hell,

And clarified this afterlife and explained where they dwell,

I hate to tell you this but I think that when we’re dead, we’re dead,

But you can avoid all this conflict and believe them instead.

Help out in Africa

By

James Bredin

Another war, conflict or famine in Africa this week,

Many sub Sahara dictatorships tend to be pretty bleak,

And the UN want us in Darfur now to keep the place in check,

But we’re already in Afghanistan and we’re up to our necks.

They need more money in Africa too for dictators’ guns,

Though a million starving kids will get absolutely none,

Dictators’ Swiss bank accounts though, will get a big boost,

And more dictatorial policies will be introduced.
