Toronto The Good

By

Toronto downtown is turning into a disgusting disgrace,

Crack addicts doing drug deals in broad daylight right in your face,

Panhandlers interrupting everyone and begging for cash,

Where are all the cops to stop all this ongoing trash?

We need the broken window policy like they had in New York,

Grapple the city back to zero tolerance from squeegee dorks,

Oh that’s rights, these addicts and dealers all have Charter Rights,

As they urinate against a wall at night under the lights.

Add to that, our soft-on-crime appointed judicial types,

Criminals may have rights to carry marijuana-hash pipes,

Left wing politicians who would sell their souls for a vote,

Find their secret agenda friends that they can promote.

We lost democracy a long time ago

We lost democracy a long time ago

Most Canadian politicians we have, should be replaced,

They tend to tax and spend and go on trips and are always two faced,

But without recall, we wait for a distant future election,

And they can do what they like till then and we have no protection.

They manipulate public opinion and reason and logic,

Public relations specialists manage all their lies like magic,

No need for common sense when the facts are broken and bent,

Pick a UN NATO war, any conflict, so the troops can be sent.

We should have binding referendums to guide them on their way,

It should be our agenda – not theirs --to keep them from going astray,

And their soft-on-crime judicial appointees should be told,

Terrorists and criminals stay in jail until they grow old.

We tend to be programmed by their constant hidden agenda,

Put out by their press barons in their daily propaganda,

Or with our eyes constantly glued to their CBC TV screens,

We become a part of their international programmed routine.

Where no one can talk back or even ask one question,

Probably impolite to show political aggression,

But they need to listen to us or to take our advice,

But instead we are trained to be obedient disciplined mice.

 Democracy is never easy

Democracy is never easy

Blind faith can move mountains so no need for logic or common sense,

If the people believe or allow; the potential is immense,

A politician, pompous priest, imam or dictator can excel,

It happened many times in history and even now; can’t you tell?

It can be used or abused or as an excuse to go to war,

And when there, used again and again to stay and even the score,

No binding referendums, impeachment, recall or defense,

Stuck in history, locked in time, where little seems to make sense.

In order to get our house in order, we need a shakeup now,

Rewrite our constitution for more democracy somehow,

So the UN or NATO or the righteous can’t tell us where to go,

We the taxpayers should be in charge of how we spend our dough,

Our ideas should not be molded by their hidden agenda,

Or the fear factor increased by their pompous propaganda,

Political despotism and obedient appointed judges,

Counting the coffins of heroes and increasing our grudges.

You have no right to die

You have no right to die

By

Your Charter right to life, doesn’t mean you have a right to die,

Euthanasia is illegal in this country and you don’t know why,

Various activists want it to stay this way and never change,

Not allowed to alter the system, change the laws or rearrange.

It doesn’t matter if you are due to die next year in great pain,

Euthanasia is not their game or on any political campaign,

As they claim the laws protect the vulnerable and the weak,

So stand down, wait quietly for your painful death and be meek.

Though we have abortion clinics with little opposition,

Backed by Supreme Court appointees and feminist ambition,

As the public is spoon fed media opinions and bias,

As they pretend that they are normal, religious and pious.

They claim it’s not a health care issue but say it’s life and death,

The same crowd that have no worries about unborn fetus’ first breath,

Many other changes should be coming at the very least,

It’s not over when the fetus is dead and those in pain can’t be deceased.

Toronto Panhandlers

By

James Bredin

Homeless nameless panhandlers want to take over the city and soon,

Pushy demanding and annoying they seem to be immune,

From the law as they constantly pester the public for loose change,

Can’t be bothered getting a job and why should this be so strange?

Add to that, our sanctimonious politicians from hell,

Cater to panhandlers and tax and spend and their souls they would sell,

They’re going to form a committee to study this and that,

These criminal homeless villains have won this combat,

It’s the cops who are at fault and they should show more respect,

To politicians and the homeless whom they’re paid to protect,

And soft-on-crime appointed judges really know the score,

Arrested gang guys and terrorists get immediate bail and $more.
