 Global Warming

Global Warming coming soon

By

James Bredin

They just came up with new statistics to prove their case,

Good propaganda -- global warming words right in your face,

They claim to have data, polls and statistics on their side,

Climate change is our big concern and we can’t be denied.

We will have to go green or appear to be green as seen,

Otherwise we’ll ring a bell and shout that we’re bad and unclean,

The pollsters, the bureaucrats and the politicians all agree,

It’s a new religion and we just have to get down on one knee.

The Kyoto agreement should be on our minds at all times,

Otherwise, we’re bound for destruction in extremely hot climes,

Even though we’re freezing in minus twenty five degrees now,

Global warming is coming to get us so we better take a bow.

They want government agencies, bureaucracies and foundations,

Get on the Internet and find out where to make a donation,

They’re going to tell us what we like, whether we like it or not,

Because they have the word and the world is going to get hot.

 Hey Mr. Pompous Politician

Hey Mr. Pompous Politician

By

James Bredin

Hey Mister Pompous Politician:  What are you doing today?

Is that a ticket for a junket to somewhere very far away?

Did you vote to double your pay just one more time?

Why are you not ashamed and you think this is all fine?

One group of politicians replaced by another group so fast,

Then the new group is as bad or maybe worse than the last,

Has their global-warming scam got everyone’s attention?

They’ll say anything; do anything to get another extension.

Their green program will fix everything if you just let them stay,

Pollution will disappear as they tax and spend to our dismay,

Their new left-wing socialist bias on view but never explained,

Totally different than what they said when they campaigned.

They show no interest in proportional representation,

Or referendums or term limits while on vacation,

Too busy to arrange for change or political recall,

Confrontational issues sent to the High Court to stall.

So many incoming refugee claimants, we could choke,

Charter written for “EVERYONE” – not just for Canadian folk,

And even Osama Ben Laden can claim Charter Rights,

He may be at the airport now in the middle of the night.

Why not elect High Court Judges

Why Not Elect High Court Judges

Because you can never disturb the Canadian status quo,

Not since the Charter was written by Chretien and Pierre Trudeau,

Confrontational issues are given to the High Court to solve,

So we have to sit back and wait for their decisions to evolve.

These political appointees cannot be asked certain questions,

They are so high and mighty that no one can make suggestions,

Then they get their photographs taken dressed up in long red gowns,

Don’t these appointees realize, they look like a group of clowns?

Politically correct decisions on whether homosexuals can wed,

Or maybe holocaust slaughter in an abortion clinic bed,

With no feedback or input from the lowly people who count,

These political appointees cannot be held to account.

These Supreme Court decisions that they ponder day and night,

Can take years because they will be there for most of their life,

Could be put to the people in a binding referendum form,

No need to watch and wait for the Supreme Court to perform.

We need referendums, term limits and political recall now,

We need elections where proportional representation is allowed,

And included in these elections should  be Supreme Court folk,

Their untouchable legal decisions should not make us choke.

 No Canadian Culture

No Canadian Culture

By

No melting pot immigration allowed in Canada you see,

We’re into multiculturalism to a high degree,

And we’re getting inundated by strange cultures indeed,

Under the Trudeau-Chretien Charter, it’s all guaranteed.

So newcomers fail to get involved in our big melting pot,

Isolated in their cultural traditions, dress and language – the lot,

In multiculturalism, we are the ones, who will change,

When outnumbered ten to one, this will not seem awkward or strange.

And changing the Charter is not politically correct,

Because left wing activists think it’s already perfect,

Feminists are busy reducing numbers at the abortion clinic,

With their health card and you are forbidden to be a cynic.

And Canadians shackled to a system of first past the post,

As we watch those erroneously elected celebrate and boast,

But with more than two candidates where combined loosers have more,

As majority try to make sense of the obscure final score.

No referendums, political term limits or recall,

Just junket politicians and their appointees, who crawl,

And they travel the world too for free on official duties,

Or isolated in some government office and quite snooty.

 Invasion by Immigration

Invasion by Immigration

By

James Bredin

An invasion by immigration was never in the cards,

They still don’t pay much attention to events in this regard,

As incoming refugees claimed Charter Rights with pride,

And Charter multiculturalism cannot be denied.

Under their politically correct international Charter script,

Written by Trudeau and Chretien for millions of nondescript,

For “EVERYONE” in the world regardless of who they are,

These days, political correctness makes it all seem bizarre.

Where burka-clad ladies go to the mosque or maternity ward,

While Canadian girls go to abortion clinic without regard,

And feminists are all pleased and happy about these events,

Don’t seem to realize the numbers this will one day represent.

Politicians say immigration policies are in control,

While our soldiers in far away Afghanistan are on patrol,

It’s a worthy UN-NATO cause they say and it has to be done,

It doesn’t matter if the dead today is your daughter or son.

And 9/11 didn’t upset their political applecart,

No changes to policies or agendas because they’re smart,

When we are afraid of the government we get oppression,

But when government is afraid of the people, we get discretion.

Power to the people some folk like to shout and scream,

But binding referendums and recall are a distant dream,

And Ottawa is very distant and extremely far away,

Our politicians like to travel and may be absent today.
