 Regional Wars

Regional Wars

By

James Bredin

The UN wants us in Darfur, Somalia, Sudan or Chad,

When we pull out of Afghanistan because that’s so sad,

New UN humanitarian crisis of global proportions,

Genocide, Blackhawk down, murder, death and extortions.

These regional wars here and there, everywhere including Haitian,

UN screams that it’s all an unacceptable situation,

We are part of their machine being sent here and there,

To help their despot special friends and be a major player.

But why should Canada be involved in the Gaza Strip?

Or Rwanda, Chad, Somalia, seen nightly on news clips,

Or Darfur, Congo into Sharia law, war and aids,

Places of continuous conflict, guns, grenades and plagues.

Does it matter who wins their various ongoing civil wars?

Which religion, despot dictator or the Africa Corps,

As politicians point fingers and religious fanatics pray,

There’s no light at the end of the tunnel but we have to pay.

Why not let the phone ring and just pretend that we’re busy?

Declare our independence and let them go off in a tizzy,

It doesn’t matter who wins or loses those wars over there,

We should tell the UN, Mr. Bush and Mr. Blair.

Enjoy Christmas Now

By

James Bredin

Will women wear the hijab, the niqab or the burka soon?

Will men have beards, four wives and caps like that Danish cartoon?

This can’t happen here, you say, because we’re so proud and good,

But demographic disparities are seldom understood.

Because in our democracies it’s only numbers that count,

And four Muslim wives make more babies in no small amount,

And as their numbers increase it soon becomes quite clear,

We’re just another minority but what have we to fear?

But by then things will have changed in a hundred different ways,

Grandkids will remember Christmas in the good old days,

Before pedophile priests or churches sold and turned into mosques,

Or knocked down for condominiums or small business kiosks.

It’s a gradual change as time and politics turn the pages,

And our descendents reverse into fundamental dark ages,

Because referendums and recalls have never been allowed,

Our politicians think things are great and they all feel so proud.

Will the ayatollahs cancel Christmas as is feared?

Will men have to have four wives and a huge big beard?

Affirmative action no help when the handwriting is on the wall,

So enjoy Christmas while you’re still able to make that last call.

Sharia Law or Climate Change

By

James Bredin

We’re enroute to the funeral of the way things used to be,

When church and state were separate and you and I could see,

The imams have their own rules and international aspirations,

New ball game full of extraordinary complications.

Will Sharia law or climate change do it to us first?

Could flash freezing of the northern hemisphere be worse?

Will some same-sex- marriage guys point and change the way?

Should I head for the far away hills and have nothing to say?

Is this really the end of the world as we knew it?

Did something happen along the way and we blew it?

Will the separation of church and state just have to go?

Will they all come together as only the imams know?

Is the sea going to rise by the next new moon?

Democratic death spiral of our doomed society soon,

Will demographics – the Muslim numbers – point the way?

Knock knock, who’s there; it’s only us imams and we’re here to stay.

Are we going to have Sharia law – like it or not?

New rules and regulations and they’ve got a lot,

It’s only fair that activists feminists be told to prepare,

To wear the burka or the niqab and always take care.

Because the changes coming our way are really profound,

It’s black headscarves and black dresses down to the ground,

You have Charter Rights but I don’t know about your tattoos?

Discomfort times ten though if you don’t pay your dues.

 War on Terror

War on Terror

By

James Bredin

The war on terror has become a very strange affair,

No real enemy is identified because we don’t seem to care,

The politically correct need guidance and assistance here,

Identify the enemy and terrorist smoke might clear.

Just another multicultural thing to manage they say,

By politicians at the mosque or the morgue any day,

Why do they need our democracy over in the Middle East?

Mad as a mix of suicide bombers or aids refugees released,

While we the people have to tolerate and accommodate shame,

Terrorists all named Mohammed play an international game,

Journalists who interview them say that they are all nice,

Some journalists would sell their souls for a decent price.

As these raggedy-ass pajama-clad guys don’t seem to care,

We should abandon them all alone in their Afghanistan lair,

And what happened to Somalia may indeed happen to them,

As they slaughter each other daily and righteously condemn.

Our incoming immigrants don’t have to change but we do,

As they build their mosques, read the Koran and quietly subdue,

And we have Trudeau’s international Charter to read,

Written for “Everyone” in the world, when “Everyone” agreed.

Action Organizations

By

James Bredin

The so-called international community is busy right now,

Their left wing media is telling us what we should allow,

Immigrant refugees with aids from someplace over there,

Allowed in but forbid Christian stuff in schools especially prayer.

They call themselves international to cover their agenda,

Far out left wing communist UN socialist propaganda,

They seem to hate the Jews and don’t like Israel at all,

Protest this that and those especially the Israeli wall.

And if and when they take control, we will have to march to their tune,

The International played while we march like soldiers in platoon,

Under the guise of human rights we should pay attention,

And never mention Sharia law or any other tension.

They claim they want to help those below the poverty line,

The homeless, the poor, the panhandlers and those inclined,

At their next left-wing demonstration they’d like you to attend,

Also at all their meetings and you will eventually comprehend.
