 Afghanistan and Somalia

Afghanistan and Somalia

By

James Bredin

Afghanistan like Somalia should be left to evolve,

So they can ensure their religious issues are all solved,

And left wing UN socialists will be so thankful and pleased,

They want us in Africa immediately and all guns seized.

Because there’s genocide in Sudan and Darfur over there,

The UN says if we go, we could be their heroes in this affair,

Not like Afghanistan where we’re getting shot by the score,

Go bring aid to Africa and not Afghanistan no more.

Just leave Afghanistan like Somalia post Blackhawk Down,

Let the place slowly disintegrate and let the UN frown,

While left-wing communist journalists tend to pontificate.

They should all go to Darfur and try to administrate.

Because they pump their propaganda nightly on TV,

Socialists shouting their righteous ethics at you and me,

Want our soldiers in Africa to fight for their lost cause,

Maybe bring back some more aids refugees just because.

Because people can be manoeuvred like a large herd of sheep,

These disguised communists as socialists and we’re half asleep,

And if you’ve read these poems then you’ve led a sheltered life,

Mostly managed by left wing media without much strife.

 Change the Canadian System

Change the Canadian System

By

James Bredin

According to their statistics, Canadians love being taxed,

Though forbidden to change the social system we’re quite relaxed,

Tax-and-spend politicians can fool around and double their pay,

Travel to exotic places that are very far away any day.

An election, maybe every five years, makes everything great,

No referendums, no recall where only politicians debate,

So we walk in lock step for five years of their mistakes,

Can’t change a thing no matter how much it pains or aches.

In this cult of no-change we all behave like a flock of sheep,

Being led to the scandal slaughter house and there’s no need to weep,

Proportional representation will never be allowed,

You will tolerate, first past the post, and stay quiet and cowed.

 UN, Aids, Africa, Canada

UN, AIDS, Africa, Canada

By

James Bredin

The UN wants us in Sub Sahara Africa and soon,

But call it peacekeepeing as we fight battles every afternoon,

Half a dozen of those places seem to be in a constant war,

Mix in starvation and aids; therefore the UN just can’t ignore.

And they want lots of Canadians in on the action now,

Even before we leave Afghanistan if time will allow,

We were in Rwanda and Somalia and had to back down,

We are fully aware of the American Blackhawk down.

Bring a million aids refugees here to show we’re sincere,

They could join the thousands left by the UN aids conference here,

No one got deported so we must be aids plague immune,

And it’s the UN aids agenda that will be our misfortune.

It’s human rights – not war or aids – that this is all about,

It’s not religion no matter how loud the UN imams shout,

Because the UN agenda is more important than dead soldiers,

We have to obey their commands like subservient stakeholders.

 UN Canadian Wars

UN Canadian Wars

By

James Bredin

Why do we feel compelled to go overseas to do good?

As missionaries or UN peacekeepers -- all misunderstood,

Trying to battle religious warlords, hunger and disease,

When they don’t want us and shoot us dead and never say please.

Why should we be involved in their constant religious wars?

Disguised as peacekeeping soldiers on foreign far distant shores,

While politicians refuse to see the writing on the wall,

Caught up in their own power and importance and all enthralled.

I have a respectful suggestion; we take our soldiers home,

Give them some shiny medals and tell them, no more need to roam,

No need to be carried dead in a casket by eight of their friends,

No need to be buried in their hometown just to follow the trends.

And if the UN says they need help, why should we feel compelled?

Going off to get shot, friendly fired on, bombed and even shelled,

And we should decide to cut back on far-flung UN foreign aid,

Why should we be so subservient and then get UN betrayed?

They want to go to Africa now and help the poor people there,

Bring back orphans and aids refugees that are in despair,

All international Kyoto communist disguised agenda,

Goody-two-shoe socialist and pompous propaganda.

 The Socialists in Our Midst

The Socialists in our Midst

By

James Bredin

They give each other fancy awards for no apparent reason,

For righteous left-wing UN issues in the sky or the season,

Then lap dog journalists pump our their media propaganda,

International UN socialist communist agenda.

And you thought the Commies were all gone with the old cold war,

But their same issues, Marxist schemes are hidden in a drawer,

They now talk of social justice – such a nice catch-all phrase,

Fellow travelers and feminists flaunting their UN displays.

And no one will ask why they want so badly to appease?

Or if incoming aids refugees have a contagious disease?

Left over from the UN Aids Conference a few months ago,

Why they can’t be deported, we’re not allowed to know.

National binding referendums and recall are not allowed,

Not by Ottawa or this UN left wing communist crowd,

Because they love Kyoto and every left wing UN scheme,

And you are not allowed to even think that this is extreme.

Pictures of them at banquets with friends and smiles,

Claiming they want to help children in the African wilds,

And they want to change any and all our government agenda,

With their left wing communist UN pompous propaganda.
